Jacqueline - the creatress of Sūrya Soma Āyurveda - began her work as an Ayurdoula with the mission of empowering birthers and partners to connect to the Divine Feminine throughout their Sacred Window. With the awareness that our culture is heavily concentrated in yang-like energy and way of being, Jacqueline seeks to support individuals and families in a way that honors the Divine Feminine through education and by inviting rest, rejuvenation, healing and sacredness throughout the postpartum journey. Connecting to the Divine Feminine enables one to celebrate their body, mind, and spirit during and after pregnancy. It further enables one to honor the Self by recognizing the importance of rest and rejuvenation after the powerful and transformative experience of childbirth.

Jacqueline has completed the Ayurvedic Postpartum Caregiver Cohort Program with the Center for Sacred Window Studies just after graduating from the Ayurvedic Institute as an Ayurvedic Practitioner under Dr. Vasant Lad. She has also studied Western Herbalism intensively with 7Song at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine, and she has her Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Psychology with a Feminist Perspective.

I am a yoga therapist, iRest meditation teacher, and an ayurvedic practitioner who has a passion to support women, their health and well-being, in all stages of their life. As a mom, I have witnessed and am inspired by the benefits that Ayurveda has during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Women tend to feel stronger, more confident, and happier when supported fully during their journey and my mission is to provide mental and emotional support during pregnancy and post-partum. Supportive practices include yoga nidra | irest, breathwork, yoga, meal preparation, and in-home support, herbal post-partum care kits, body therapies, and more.

Wholistic Mama
First and Last Name: Kasey Smith
Location:
Jackson, Tennessee, United States 38305

My mission is to change how we view postpartum recovery and support mothers through the first forty days postpartum and beyond.

I help pregnant women plan a nourishing postpartum experience & support new mothers with holistic in-home mama care services and online coaching. My goal is to help you build your village so you can feel happy, loved and supported. My focus is on helping women and their families navigate the postpartum period known in many cultures as the first forty days or sacred window. I do this by providing holistic mama care and nourishing support. This support helps you shift from feeling overwhelmed and anxious to feeling loved and nurtured during your postpartum. When YOU feel nourished, you can be a better mama for your baby and other children, if you have them.
